Dog Photography in Abu Dhabi
Natural, soulful photographs of the dog who means more to you than words can explain.

It's about capturing who they really are — and the relationship you share.
I'm Sarah, an animal photographer based in Abu Dhabi, specialising in natural dog photography, pet photography and meaningful portraits of animals and the people who love them.
Whether your dog is energetic, shy, nervous, reactive, easily distracted or simply has a mind of their own, we work with them, not against them.
Because the best photographs usually happen when your dog gets to be a dog.
Your dog doesn't need to be "perfect"

Maybe you're thinking:
“My dog won't sit still.”
“She's nervous around new people.”
“He's reactive around other dogs.”
“There's no way we'll get a nice photo of us together.”
Good.
Because I don't need your dog to behave like a model.
I've photographed enough animals to know that the beautiful moments aren't always the ones you can plan.
Sometimes it's the ridiculous expression.
Sometimes it's the ears going in completely different directions.
Sometimes it's the way your dog looks at you when they think nobody is watching.
Sometimes it's simply the two of you walking together.
Those are the moments I want to photograph.
Dog photography that feels like your dog
There is a difference between having a nice photograph of your dog and having a photograph that makes you stop and think:
“That's them.”
My approach to dog photography is natural, relaxed and story-driven.
Rather than creating a collection of stiff poses, I'll give you space to interact with your dog while I look for the little moments in between.
The movement.
The personality.
The connection.
The chaos.
The quiet.
The way your hand naturally finds their head.
The way they look back at you while you're walking.
The things you might not even realise you do together.
Because your relationship deserves to be photographed too.

More than dog portraits
Your session can include a little bit of everything.

🐾 Dog portraits
Beautiful, natural portraits that show your dog's personality, from their serious face to their biggest goofy grin.

🤍 Dogs with their owners
Because you'll want photographs of you together, too.
Not awkward, overly posed family portraits.
Just the two of you being yourselves.

🌿 Outdoor dog photography
Abu Dhabi gives us plenty of opportunities to photograph your dog outdoors, using natural light and locations that suit their personality.

🐕 Movement & personality
Running, Walking, Playing, Sniffing, Exploring.
Doing absolutely nothing.
If it's part of who your dog is, it's part of their story.

📸 Pet photography
And if your household has more than one animal?
Bring them along.
Your session can be about your dog, your pets, or the entire little family you've created together.
What happens during a dog photography session?
01 We talk about your dog
Before we even pick up a camera, I'll want to know about them.
What's their personality like?
What do they love?
What makes them nervous?
Are they comfortable around other dogs?
Do they prefer exploring or staying close to you?
This helps me plan a session around your dog, rather than expecting your dog to fit into a predetermined photoshoot.
02 We choose a location
I'll help you choose an outdoor location in Abu Dhabi that works for both you and your dog.
Depending on the kind of photographs you're dreaming of, this might mean greenery, open space, waterfront views, pathways or somewhere that simply feels like you.
Potential Abu Dhabi areas and locations can include places such as Al Fay Park, Al Gurm Corniche, Al Bateen, Khalifa Park, Al Wathba Desert and other suitable outdoor locations, depending on current access and pet regulations.
We'll always choose the location with your dog's comfort, safety and the desired look of your photographs in mind.
03 We let your dog settle in
There's no rushing.
If your dog needs five minutes to sniff everything in sight, we'll give them five minutes.
If they need some distance from other dogs, we'll work around that.
If they're nervous around a new person with a camera, that's okay too.
The session starts when your dog is ready — not when the clock says so.
04 We photograph the real moments
I'll guide you when needed, but you don't have to know how to pose.
You don't need to be a professional model.
You don't even need to know what to do with your hands.
I'll give you simple prompts and let your dog do what they naturally do.
And while you're busy being together, I'll be watching for the moments worth keeping.
05 You get photographs that feel like memories
The goal isn't to come home with 30 versions of your dog sitting in the same position.
It's to create a gallery that tells their story.
The beautiful portrait.
The ridiculous face.
The little details.
The movement.
The connection between you.
Photographs that take you straight back to that exact moment.
What if my dog is shy, nervous or reactive?
Then we plan for that.
Seriously.
Your dog doesn't have to be the world's most sociable dog to have a photography session.
If your dog is shy, I'll give them time and space.
If they're nervous around strangers, we'll keep interactions to a minimum.
If they're reactive around other dogs, we'll choose our location and timing carefully and avoid situations that create unnecessary stress.
And if your dog needs to stay on a leash?
That's completely fine.
A leash doesn't stop us from creating beautiful photographs.
I can work with your dog's comfort and safety first, and we can photograph around the leash where possible or remove it during the final editing process when appropriate.
Your dog does not need to perform for the camera.
They just need to be themselves.
And yes… your dog can stay on the leash
You don't need a perfectly trained off-leash dog for a beautiful photography session.
In fact, I would much rather have a happy, secure dog on a leash than a stressed dog because someone is trying to get the “perfect” photograph.
We'll work with what makes your dog comfortable.
Safety comes first.
The photographs come second.
And somehow, that's usually when we get the best photographs anyway.

Abu Dhabi dog photography locations
Abu Dhabi has a surprisingly beautiful variety of outdoor settings for dog photography.
From waterfront walks and city views to greenery, open desert and quieter spaces, we can choose somewhere that fits your dog and the story you want to tell.
Some locations we may consider include:
Al Fay Park — Reem Island
A natural, green setting close to the city, with winding paths and a more organic feel. A lovely option for dogs who enjoy exploring and walking.
Al Gurm Corniche
A beautiful waterfront setting alongside the mangroves, offering a more natural atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for relaxed walking photographs.
Al Wathba Desert
For the expats who have made Abu Dhabi home, Al Wathba can become more than just a beautiful place — it can become part of your story here.
The endless dunes, warm desert light and open landscape create a timeless setting for photographs of you and your dog together. A beautiful way to capture a chapter of your life in the UAE — especially if the desert has become one of those places you'll always associate with your time here.
Your dog, the desert, and a memory of the life you built in Abu Dhabi.
Al Bateen
For a more open, coastal feeling, depending on current access and regulations.
The Corniche
For dogs who are comfortable with a busier environment, the Corniche can offer beautiful waterfront and city surroundings, with landscaped areas and pedestrian paths.
The exact location isn't decided by a list on a website.
I'll help you choose somewhere that makes sense for your dog, your comfort level and the story you want your photographs to tell.
And because rules around dogs can vary between public spaces, we'll always respect the current regulations and signage at the chosen location.
What if my dog isn't good at posing?
Perfect.
Neither am I particularly interested in making them pose.
Some of my favourite photographs happen when a dog is:
running towards their owner,
looking completely ridiculous,
sniffing something incredibly important,
leaning into a cuddle,
or simply looking up at the person they love most.
Your dog already has a personality.
My job is to notice it.

Your gallery should feel like them
Imagine opening your photographs years from now.
Not just seeing what your dog looked like.
But remembering:
The way they used to run.
The sound of their paws on the pavement.
That ridiculous expression they always made.
How they would lean against your leg.
The way they looked at you.
That one favourite walk.
That particular phase where they were completely obsessed with one ball.
That's what we're really photographing.
Not just a dog.
A chapter of your life together.

Dog Photography Gallery
A collection of dogs, personalities and the people who love them.
From playful puppies to old souls.
From wild personalities to gentle ones.
From dogs who love the camera to dogs who would rather pretend it doesn't exist.
Every session is different.
And that's exactly how it should be.
